Making Your Arts Dreams A Reality

SARA LOGSDON, M.A. FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF SARA LOGSDON CONSULTING
Sara Logsdon is an arts educator, program developer, and performing arts administrator with extensive experience in music education, arts outreach, and nonprofit programming. Her work centers on expanding access to high-quality arts education while cultivating the next generation of vocal artists.
Most recently, Logsdon served as Recruitment Coordinator for Academy Choir: LA, an extension of the acclaimed summer program A Cappella Academy, co-founded by GRAMMY-winning artist Avi Kaplan (Pentatonix), Ben Bram, and arranger Rob Dietz. Working closely with Musical Director Rob Dietz, she played a key role in expanding program visibility and strengthening recruitment initiatives for the 2025–2026 season through strategic marketing and outreach efforts.
Logsdon previously worked in the Education Department at the GRAMMY Museum as Outreach Coordinator for the nationally recognized GRAMMY Camp program. In this role, she served as a primary liaison between the museum, prospective campers, alumni, and arts educators across the country. She helped broaden the program’s national reach and supported the successful expansion of GRAMMY Camp to New York and Miami, while collaborating with the Director of Education to coordinate outreach logistics and recruitment initiatives.
Her work in the Los Angeles arts community also includes contributions to the TMC Arts production team at The Music Center, supporting major civic events such as the 65th Annual LA County Holiday Celebration at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and the NYELA Countdown to 2025 at Gloria Molina Grand Park, which drew audiences ranging from 500 to 45,000 attendees.
A passionate advocate for community arts education, Logsdon previously served as Director of Vocal Music for the Los Angeles nonprofit Harmony Project. There, she created and implemented the organization’s inaugural vocal music program in the San Fernando Valley, growing participation across partner schools by 50 percent within its first year. She established new partnerships with Los Angeles Unified School District schools, founded the organization’s first Vocal Jazz Contemporary A Cappella Ensemble, and oversaw the recruitment and mentorship of teaching artists and staff. Her students performed at prominent venues including the Skirball Cultural Center and the Beverly Hills Country Club.
Logsdon’s leadership and advocacy in the arts have earned regional recognition, including being named a Female Change Maker in Los Angeles and being featured on KTLA’s LA Unscripted. She also contributed to successful grant funding efforts supporting program expansion, including the Chorus America 2024–2026 grant.
In higher education, Logsdon served as the founding guest conductor of the University of Redlands Vocal Jazz Ensemble (“Rhythm Ave”) and co-created the annual Vocal Jazz Workshop at the Conservatory of Music, which later developed into a year-long vocal jazz ensemble.
From 2022 to 2024, she served on the board of the Southern California Vocal Association as the Vocal Jazz/Contemporary A Cappella VP, where she led the annual Honor Choir weekend. Under her leadership, the program experienced significant growth in participation and recognition, with the 2023 Honor Choir featured in DownBeat Magazine and earning three solo performance awards.
Earlier in her career, Logsdon was Director of Choral Programs at Chaminade College Preparatory, where she founded the school’s Vocal Jazz Program and taught courses in music appreciation, vocal technique, and applied music. Her students have gone on to attend institutions including Yale University, UCLA, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and California Lutheran University.
She also spent six years at Valley School in Van Nuys, where she established award-winning choral and musical theatre programs. During her tenure, students performed at venues such as Disneyland Resort, Universal Studios, and Artemus Hall and were featured on KTLA’s holiday broadcast.
Logsdon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from California Lutheran University and a Master of Arts in Music Education from San José State University. She remains deeply committed to the transformative power of the arts and to fostering creative growth in artists of all ages.
